Blog Post: Everyday Wellness: My Go-To Supplements, Teas, and What I’m Excited to Try

Wellness isn’t about perfection—it’s about finding what works for you and leaning into it. For me, that means combining intentional nutrition with a few thoughtfully chosen supplements, teas, and adaptogens that make me feel my best. Here's a deep dive into my personal wellness staples and a few items I’ve been researching for the future.

Supplements I Swear By

  • Magnesium Glycinate: My nightly ritual includes this powerhouse for calming the mind, relaxing muscles, and supporting overall stress reduction. I use Pure Encapsulations (available on Amazon) because it’s gentle and highly absorbable. This personally helped my anxiety and sleep so much, and I didn't realize until I ran out and no longer had it!

  • Biotin: A must-have for hair, skin, and nail health! Go for a higher dosage to see real results—your body will filter out any excess naturally, so there’s no risk of overdoing it. I personally saw lots of hair growth with this one!

  • Liposomal Vitamin B12 + B6: Cymbiotika’s liquid formula is my go-to. Liquid forms are crucial for absorption, especially if your body struggles to process B12 from pills. While I used to splurge on B12 injections (the mental clarity and energy were unmatched), this is a more accessible alternative that fits my routine. Pharmacies sell ones that you can drop under your tongue for max absorption.

  • Omega-3 Fish Oils: Brain health, skin support, and inflammation reduction in one supplement. Just make sure you’re choosing a clean, sustainably sourced brand for maximum benefits.

  • Collagen: Vital Proteins collagen powder is a daily staple in my coffee or smoothies. It supports skin elasticity, joint health, and hair growth.

  • Probiotics: Gut health is everything, and a good probiotic can make a world of difference. Find one that fits your specific needs—whether it’s for digestion, immunity, or overall balance.

Other Great Additions I Use:

  • Greens Powder: If you’re like me and don’t always get enough veggies, greens powders are lifesavers. AG1 is my favorite, but any option with minimal fillers and clean ingredients will work wonders. AG1 has a great holiday deal going on at the moment where you get a bunch of freebies!

  • Protein Powder: For smoothie lovers: a high-quality protein powder can help you hit your daily protein goals. Avoid whey if you’re acne-prone, and explore plant-based options like pea or hemp protein.

Adaptogens to Try

Adaptogens are natural herbs and fungi that help your body adapt to stress. They’re gentle enough for everyday use and great for overall wellness:

  • Ashwagandha: Known for reducing cortisol levels and boosting energy. I love this for overall stress and anxiety relief, and I always add this into my Cacao order @ elixxr cafe.

  • Reishi & Chaga Mushrooms: Immune-boosting superstars that also promote calm and focus.

Teas for Daily Support

Herbal teas are my favorite way to relax and support my body at the same time:

  • Nettle Tea: A gentle iron-rich tea that supports energy and detoxification. Nettle is an overall superstar.

  • Dandelion Tea: Great for liver health, digestion, and reducing inflammation. This helps me with acne purge from use of stronger skincare products like retinols or exfoliants.

Supplements on My Radar

These are the next additions I’m curious about:

  • NAD: NAD (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is celebrated for its role in cellular repair and anti-aging. I’m researching whether oral supplements are effective or if injections are the way to go.

  • Sea Moss: Packed with 92 of the 102 essential minerals our body needs, sea moss intrigues me. The taste? Not so much. If spoonfuls of the raw gel are the best way to reap its benefits, I might need some creative recipes to make it palatable. Also why have I found this so hard to obtain? If anyone knows a good source- let a girl know!

Why Supplements Aren’t One-Size-Fits-All

A quick note: no supplement routine should replace a balanced diet or medical advice. I highly recommend scheduling annual physicals and doing bloodwork to identify deficiencies. Supplements should be tailored to what your body needs—not just trends. I learned of my B12 deficiency without even noticing I was sleepy, and I thought my concentration lacking was due to ADHD, but turns out it had mostly to do with B12 lacking!

And don’t forget: pair all of these with plenty of water. Hydration is the unsung hero of wellness! Grab a cute water bottle if you have to, whatever helps you get in a gallon a day!

Your Turn

What’s in your daily wellness lineup? Have you tried any of these, or are there supplements or teas that have transformed your routine? Let me know in the comments—I’m always looking for new ideas!
